Very big update.

After getting up really early this morning and setting off to go to Andys, i finally got there in Southampton to finally meet the guy behind the making of the Predator plug and play ecu.
So after all the introductions were out the way Andy got straight on with doing the timing on my cams as they were not done.
Then noticed the belt was a lil tight and that the brake pedal was slack so adjusted them for me and there now good.
Anyway after that Andy got my Predator plugged in and then got is laptop wired up and got the software ready.
So after a few adjustements it was time to get on the road so off we went i obviously did the driving and Andy was doing all the settings and adjustements on the laptop.
So after we get back the Predators is fitted and mapped and the car is done.
So on the way back it was time to see what this was capable of lol.
And all i can say guys is this is by far the best money ive spent on my gti, the car just pulls of and flies through the rpm and now the rpm as been raised its alot more fun and bthe power is unreal.
No flat spots, and the torque is there ready for when you want to put your foot down and overtake etc.
So had a little play with this now the rpm is raised and heres what i was getting from each gear .

1st - 40 2nd - 70 3rd - 100 so having the rpm raised does obviously give you that bit extra to get from each gear.

Well did my first cold start from cold today and seems to be spot on and still idles brilliant.
No more cutting out and idling lumpy anymore.

Glad you got it in the end. Told you it would be worth it. The map on the standard ecu would of been great but you would of got that little bit more with the pred. Then also the sell on value and you will have plenty of people out there who would want it in future. Love it!

Ill have to arrange a date and come out and see what its like (y)

One bad day with a stone etc and it will be bad news!!!

Cheers matt ye you was right in what you said about the pred lol and sure you've got my number just give me a text sometime and we will arrange some time and will let you have a drive of it mate.
Wanna see your new Vxr aswell lol.
Adz from top gear performance had a drive of it himself last week.

Ye I've got one mate only took it off so Andy could time the cams up for me, will be getting put back on soon as.

Ye I've seen is old Saxo a few times when he had it and he talks about it alot, I think he really regrets getting rid of it now, even more so that he lives on street opposite my house and has to drive past my house everday and sees mine but ye he was very shocked at how well it went and seemed very impressed with it and he was reslly giving it some. Hese just waiting for me to let him have a drive in it now it's been mapped.

Ok phoned a place up today to get the car booked in to go on the Roling Road so I can see what bhp shese pushing out and if it's really been worth what I've spent and done on the car.
Managed to get it in this Sunday so all will be revealed.
Anyone give me a rough estimate as to what bhp they think I should achieve?

For anyone else spec is:

Newman phase 3 cams + been timed
BMC CDA induction kit
Full performance exhaust system with de cat
Predator standalone + re map

Ok guys not too happy.
Had the car put on the dyno pack and had a few runs and the best result was 108bhp at the wheels.
Apparently the fuel mix is to rich at the bottom end of the rev range and too weak at the top end.
Just waiting for guy to email me the graph results and I will upload on here when he does to see what you guys think.

Thanks mate ye I hope so.
In 2 minds now weather to get it sorted and throw more money into it with higher spec or just move on to another project.
