need advice on makin a laptop "blank again"
rite iv got a problem at the mo, iv got a latptop which has only been used a day or 2 and it shows as "user ..." i want it to be blank like when u first get it it will be like welcome to windows create a profile bla bla, anyone no how to get it back to that stage, i looked on profiles and i cant delete the only admin profile unless i make someone else admin but i want to make no1 admin so its blank again, i got 2 recovery discs but they dont realy "just run" they are just full of files ect any ideas guys

when it starts up try pressing one of the 'F' keys
mines F8 then run the recovey program what promps up

Easiest way would be to rename the admin account form the control panel. Click on 'user accounts', click on admin pic then choose 'change my name'. Job done.

i dont want to change the name, i want it to be blank, ie when it was first ran so it does that again, so the person who uses it gets the message comin up saying welcome to windows, pick a profile bla bla if you get me

Only way I know of doing that is re-installing windows, and stopping it after the blue screen instalation so the next person to power it on will need the CD in the drive and then they can follow the options.

ah crap ok, anyone no how to delete things, i had daemon tools on it now it comes up with this message "when u save installer exe" n says its serachn for net connection every time it loads up a profile, i found where the file is but when i click delete it jus says in use or protected how the hell can i dlete that

Just use DR DELETE
Be careful though, it will delete anything you like!!
