It's good for the tape residue on the front doors if you take your doorcards off!
I think you can get it on ebay cheap, if you get stuck give me a shout as I bought 5L!!!

The c5 steelies with tyres are 11.6kg each, my VTS alloys with tyres are 15.4kg each.
A saving of 3.8kg per corner
15.2 kg overall, not bad!

Well I decided to take the VTS on the rollers today just to see what it's putting out.
Gunther at XO in Cramlington also plugged into the ECU to see if it had been mapped or not, it hadn't! sweet! more power is available!
So anyhoo: Phase 2 1.6 16v VTS, raceland manifold, decat, piper backbox, huge greencotton filter, piper cams

Weigh bridge yesterday, half a tank of fuel, spare wheel in, jack, toolkit, jump leads ant VTS alloys on. Came in at 860kg on a bridge that goes up in 20kg increments, so anywhere between 840-860kg
I expected lower, but to be honest I did leave a load of stuff in the car!

Bit of an update, well I actually got to drive the car on some twisties, boy oh boy was it fun, but then I got sidetracked.
I took the back wheel off to check the rear brakes for wear, they looked good, but then I decided to take the pads out and the caliper off to see how easy it is, many hours later I got them back on :s
ugh
I still don't know if they arle back on properly as I can't drive the car as the manifold is off!
I decided to heatwrap it, if I'd known how much of a pain and expense it would be I would have been tempted not to bother, but it's all a learning curve!
Getting the manifold off was a bit of a nightmare, the 2 bolts on the exhaust/manifold coupling were a pain to get off as I needed to get right under the car, I was rather scared of the car falling on me so I purchased some axle stands.
I ordered some metal zip ties from ebay but as of yet they're not here yet.
5 rolls of wrap it took, 5! because it was narrow as a narrow thing, however I did manage to get it all done, I'm just waiting for the metal ties to arrive so I can replace the plastic ones I used to hold the wrap at key points as I wrapped it.
I also got new manifold studs and nuts from citroen
2 axle stands and a jack!
FU raceland !
Wrapped, finally!
Shiney bits

Right I've had a really frustrating past week with the VTS, while it was warming up I decided to relocate the inertia switch and the car cut out, then.....it wouldn't start! argh!
Basically I opened a thread and checked everything, even went to a breakers yard and got some MAP sensors and a crank sensor, all to no avail, however my OBDII to USB came through the door and within minutes I had detected and cleared an error, then BRUM BRUM!
while diagnosing my problem I discovered that my coilpack cover had a load of rounded bolt heads, after getting those off I found my coilpack had NO bolts holding it in, so they were all replaced with citroen bits.
I have also shoehorned a raceland enclosed induction kit into the bay
I'll whap some pics and whatnot up soon

Okay well I've been busy with some annoying stuff the past week, mainly tar & steering wheel related.
I got the tar from the inside of the boot using the heat from the sun and a credit card?!?!?!, it weighed in at a whopping 650g!
The same was not possible on the footwells :s
The offending tar
A few minutes later with a bit of heatgun action, and destroying her halifax card! oops
A little bit of Tardis put to work!
Ooh!, I can see this getting scratched
Scales calibrated with the collinder before weighing
1425g, bosh!
So rear tar + front tar = 2075g, crikey!
I then, after much waiting and replaced the steering wheel with this jazzy little number:
The OMP boss weighed 725g and the wheel weighed 1050g, I also removed the column plastics which weighed 400g so 1775g v the 2.7kg of the standard wheel and airbag & column plastics, not a huge saving, but it's gorgeous to use!

Hibernation
Well, with the bad weather looming, my saxo has gone into hibernation, in a large wooden box, packed with shredded newspaper!
I spent 6 hours cleaning the exterior first, 4 of which was removing mud and crap from the arches!
It really did come out in chunks near the fuel filler, must have been a kg or two over the entire car!
^^Look at those ruddy chunks of crud!
Anyway, once they were all done, she was snow foamed a few times, washed and dried, winter shoes put on and she was put into the garage!
Plans for the winter are fluids, overhaul the brakes, treat and spots of rust in the bay / underside / etc, then waxoyl the lot.
Fully remove the interior and spray it satin black, then possibly put in a chopped & flocked 106 dash.
Move the battery to the boot.
Get a custom airbox fabricated for where the battery was and sort a cold air feed, possibly morettes
Cage
New C5 steelies and R888s
New alternator, new starter motor, new wishbones, new engine mounts
Crikey!
