Circlip on rear drums 1.1 Saxo - Saxperience

Can some one tell me what to do? I have just replaced the bearing in the new rear brake drum and have inserted the new circlip but when re-assembling and putting on the locking nut it fouls on the circlip and locks the wheel. Do I need the circlip to hold the bearing in? if yes, what is the answer to my problem? I am really struggling.

From memory you have a washer that effectively spaces the hub nut away from the circlip. I presume your circlip has circlip holes in it which is why it catches?

My circlip had no holes in it so was literally a c shape - I'll post some pics up later on.

Sounds like you need the right circlip

Mate had same Problem left surclip out and its work fined ever since so up to you like

thanks for that, yeh the old drum had the totally recessed clip but the replacement bearing came with the circlip with holes.
