ECM configuration Vts wont rev above 3k

3 plugger, runs sweet on idle and up to 3k but is limited right there, hard limit, will not go above either quickly revving up or slowly increasing. Deffo ecu limiter.

Is this limp mode? Took battery off for 10mins but no difference.
Initial startup it idled at 2k, changed icv and it was sweet.

Have left battery off for tonight, hopefully be ok in morning.

Only dtc was 1613, (which ive now found out is configuration see below)

Have your baffles inside the exhaust collapsed restricting flow?

Nah there fine, its a definate electronical problem holding it back.

Crank position sensor okay? Secure?

YEs mate, tried a few crank sensors.

ok, it appears p1613 is a configuration problem, (caused by t controll modules not being in sync?)

anyone come across this, and can it be re-coded?

car as said runs at 3000k, perfectly fine up to then, but rev limits right there.

i *think* thats when the transponder box has lost its code/gone faulty.

there are a few threads on the bba forum, saying its when the new ecu's need configuring, ie, need citroen to download the configuration settings onto it, and that manual inputs rarely work.

might try finding another ecu lol

transponder box (the one under dash) is removed atm.

thats the source of your fault code then if its removed!

youll need a lexia to do any kind of reprogramming

if i re-connect will it not lock the ecu though, as it is the wrong one for the ecu?

Well, i guess so.

It sounds like the ecu isnt properly unlocked.

Sorted, replaced the data on the ecu with know good. There were differences and now works perfectly.
