I was only paying £480 at 23 on a 55 plate clio 182 with coilovers, exhaust and alloys. Think I've always been pretty lucky with insurance though.

Renewed with Pace Ward as there specialists for the likes of Evo's & GTR's etc.
£900 Fully comp (inclusive of track insurance).
That's all modifications declared at 380bhp/420 lb ft and modifications are also insured and paid out for in the event of a claim.
Know of several people on MLR who have made claims and been paid out promptly (track accident/road accident & theft) Seem really good
25 Years Old
6 Points
Evo VI
Suspension, Wheels, Engine Mods declared & covered.

It wasn't a comparison they specialise in Evo insurance and as a lot move from evo's to GTR's as well as a few GTR's participating in the Pace Ward Sprint series they seem to be starting to specialise in GTR's for the generic levels of performance packages added to them (as they already do with the evo's)
Definitely wasn't comparing the two, i'd chuck my evo, left bollock and savings in for a GTR right this second.
Typically anything modified with a decent level of performance where other insurers are put off it is definitely worth giving them a shout.
They wouldn't insure me last year though as my Clio 197 that I had 2 years experience in wasn't deemed a suitable level of performance car for the underwriters to insure me on an evo so I had to do a year with another insurer before they would consider me.
