black headlining is just painted, 106 dash was fairly straight forward to fit, most of it was plug and play, you do need to change matrix unit, steering column supports etc but isnt too hard.
fitted a few bits this week, carbon door cards, found a mirror switch handle, smoothed interior mirror covers, fitted my 106 mirrors, carbon sparco gear knob, painted the 106 center console gloss black, smoothed boot handle and boot pop,, smoothed out the pug dash badge and fitting a pedo bear sticker, also changed the heater matrix for a nissens one, started to chequer the roof and chequered under the skuttle panel. just need to get the headgasket done now, fit the nissens rad, and red spoox hoses.

steering wheel is in, going to take a bit getting used to, got it in the ltd edition red stitching with 85mm dish.
also ordered a few flocked bits and peices, mirror trim, center console, door handle surrounds. and trying to decide on, red cage with criss cross door bars and black team dynamics 1.2's or white cage with white compomtive 5 spokes????
hopefully going to get a few bits done on the vtr this weekend too so will start a progress thread for that soon.

Good work tipsy as ever!
Buy some gloves to use when driving as my steering wheel suede is knacked off using bare handed.

finished the chequers on the roof, unsure if i like them but it took too long for me to just peel them off now without other peoples opinions, also fitted the headunit blank, ariel blank is in. carbon sparco gear knob is now on, removing the quickshift and just fitting a bm linkage instead, neatend up my window switches mounted in ashtray, and started making a fiberglass version with my button in for launch control, an extra switch and my window switches. coming along quite nice but the weather is slowing things down.
also made a little custom pedo bear vts badge to replace the pug dash badge, havent got pictures of that yet but i like it. lol

back on the road today thanx again to manic. seems like my car is a total nightmare to work on no matter what i get done, carbon cards are going. already sold to ashkeeble i think. and gti cards are going in, got some black and red zebra print material for headlining and another set of black pillar trims. still leaving the rear seats out and getting the cage in but im wanting a bit of show more than the go tbh. going to fit the door cards and things like this weekend then see from there.
