Got some ford exhaust mounts which will hopefully solve the exhaust position

Welcome back. Looks as though you’ve made a lot of progress in your short time of ownership. Black has always been my favourite colour for the Saxo. Looks great.

Tried to make a lot of progress today, obviously went very wrong as it always does with saxos.

Managed to get the locking wheel nuts removed

Managed to get both struts and all brakes removed.

I have purchased a set of gti 180 brakes with discs and pads, will get those fitted as soon as my braided lines arrive.

Got the drive shaft removed on the passenger side with ease.

Had a few issues with the lug nut on the drivers side.

Smashed a breaker bar

After buying a new breaker bar and having to use an exhaust for extra leverage. We got it off

Given up for the day not being able to get the drivers side shaft out.

Both 11mm nuts have been removed but think we're gonna have to remove the 3 16mm on the bearing carrier. Fingers crossed that works.

Once that's done will start to make some progress changing the clutch.

New drive shafts and gear linkages are waiting to go on.

Struts are out so will hopefully get the lowering springs fitted as well.

Fingers crossed we don't have many issues tomorrow.

Did get my short shifter fitted today.

Hopefully tomorrow's updates will be better.

It was off eBay, it's a Chinese copy, took about 12 days to arrive, only annoying part is stripping all the plastic off the standard shaft. Need to fit a different way of attaching the knob now as well, definitely worth it though

Made some more progress today, got the drivers shaft out.

Gearbox out and new clutch in

No surprise the old clutch started to slip

Haven't got time till Tuesday to get it all back together but here's all the parts waiting

Did snap one of the gear linkage balls off the gearbox so just to order a replacement now

Just got to order new bottom arms and we're all ready to go.

Just got to wait till Tuesday now

Only issues was everything leading up to it, lug nuts and drive shafts, gearbox was quite easy once we got to it.
