Default What strut for vtr with vts conversion?

Have a 53 plate vtr with a phase 1 vts conversion, over the past few months a knocking sound has been coming from the near side front suspension arm, turns out the rubber bush is knackered on the top mount, so have decided just to swap the old strut with a direct replacement but struggling on which one to get as I'm not sure whether you can use any other strut from a 1.1 1.4 vtr or vts phase 1 or 2 as I know there tapered and non tapered? Any help would be much appreciated thanks.

You need to use a one from a MK 2 as it'll have the same bearing (unless your running mk1 shafts and bearings). 1.1 etc don't have the mount for drop links
