Porting and polishing the throttle body, dosent 'really' do alot. May give a little better throttle responce but dont be expecting the 2-3 bhp people promice with it.
Can get someone to do it on here for £30ish.

With just £300 then a mild cam that doesn't need a map (Remap would cost around £400) So maybe a Newmans PH1. Although the gains would be minimal so it would be better to save up and get better cams and a map. Exhaust and induction mods first though.

Just try the usual, Ebay, Autotrader, local newspapers, Piston heads, other ad sites, and the for sale section on here when you are able to view it (Have to have been a member 30 days and have 100 post in case you don't know )

Iv thought about this but preping and re-spraying a whole car isnt as cheap as people think for a good job local bodyshop have said im looking at £900 - £1000 depending on what condition the shell is in and thats cheap, Also you dont usally get dog shell's with mint low mileage motors. So just gonna wait intell i see a mint white vtr and snap it up.

The only way ill buy a vtr/vts is if its white, am not really a huge French fan am into my Vauxhalls really but couple of my friends have 106 gti's vts's vtr's and all say they a good cars fun to drive and cheap parts couple say there also good for the track if your prepared to spend money on them, so iv decided i want a white vtr with white vts wheels, doesn’t need to have vts wheels for me to buy it.
