Default Converting newer style alternator to older style connection.

Hi there,I would like to convert the 2 pin plug from the newer style alternator to the M5 stud on the older style one.
Lately the 2 pin plug started flickering at high revs and I suspect this damaged the 2 alternators I bought in the last few months so I would like to go the stud type fitting (can't see any faults in the wiring).
Does anyone know if it is just a case of joining the two wires together and using a ring terminal to fit the older style? Thank you.

Looking to do the same thing to my VTS. How have you gotten on with it? Any success?

It might actually be belt slip, not all belts squeal. Might just be needing a turn on the tensioner.

Mine use to dimly glow when accelerating hard or at high rpm.

wonky crank pulleys can cause this as well, as the belt flexes a lot at high rpm.

Thank you, I'll have a look at what you pointed out.
