repair ps3?
hey my mate has offerd me 20 quid for his ps3 basicly the blueray player is knakerd or something and doesnt read any disks anyone on here know how to repair it or anywhere i can get it done cheap?

anyway looked into it seems the laser is bust so im not going to bother having it

Take it apart and fit a new one. £20 is nothing rly.
What gb is it? 20, 40, 60, 80, 120, 160<? 250, 320
May of missed one out or made a mistake.

Laser is a peice of piss to replace, I do em all day long and fr 20 quid + 40 for laser your geting a brilliaint console for 60 quid!

haha im not sure what to do. i dont want to spend 50-60 quid then it still not to work.
for the sake of 100 ontop i could get just the console with guarantee and il know it hasnt been fucked about with i dunno im still thinking about it. he has a spare laser but its the different sort there a twin laser on his and the blue ray player he has has a single laser with it would it still work?

I don't think anywhere does it 'cheap' and once they 'break' they seem to keep breaking.

30gb decided not to have it and agree with the above cant be botherd to spend 80 quid getting it to work then still having problems il stick to my xbox
