Noise limits
Right i cant find any threads on this but seen posts by some people
Looking to make a compilation of what tracks are strict and wheres more leaniant with the black flag
Ive heard some places are one strike and your out
Looking now as on driveby my cars measuring 105.3db
So 105db days will be what i book but obviously if someweres strict that .3 could make the the difference between a good day and going home early
Ive got mallory park booked next week so ill see how i fair up with them
Just looking to see ive heard bedford are strict
Anywere else??

Making it quieter requires a new set of throttle bodies which isnt an option

Is it induction or exhaust you are having problems with mate, When i worked at arc we use to make a clamp on downward bend for the tip of the exhaust so the sound waves have to bounce from the floor before they hit the mic so helps cancel out a hell of a lot of noise upto 20db on a drive by iirc.

This is the sort of thing I was getting at. If it's purely from your induction then fair enough but it's unlikely and quietening down the exhaust wouldn't hurt. There are quite a few methods to achieve that so it might be worth looking in to. Before I went around looking at which tracks I could/couldn't go to I'd be putting every bit of effort into making the thing quieter in the first place.

I've always found Croft very reasonable when it comes to noise testing, was a little over once on a 88dB day and they let me out as long as I did the sensible thing when going past the mic on track. Although they do have very few 105 events these days sadly.

Its purely induction guys i have an exhaust with 2 boxes and at static from behind its 90db at 6k (3/4 engine revs)
Basically i just need to know which tracks are strict on it and which arent as quieting the car requires new bodies i can fit filters too as my current setup there is no way of filtering

What car/ induction/ exhaust setup? Mine was 93db static at one of their loud days and the lad noise testing said I'd *probably* be okay for a quiet day. Didn't realise they did drive by testing too?

If you cant fit a filter or plenum then the only way is to add noise deadening to the inside of the bonnet and bay. not nice

Very few days to be honest. Track days are getting worse and worse, with testing days being more open generally. As said, goodwood is bad, brands is pretty strict, and that is reflecting with most MSV tracks. Donnington is a good bet

Yeah, there's a mic at Sunny Out. They are very good during the briefing at letting you know it's there without actually telling you it's there if you know what I mean due to the current issues they are having etc.
