Not posted in a while on this as it came to a grinding halt as it wasn't starting.
After trying shit loads of things I was at the point of giving up and just getting an S and swapping everything over.
But after having it to an auto electrician (cheers Blackie) and finding nothing wrong I pushed it to my mates garage and there it sat since before Christmas.
It's been sitting there until today as I got a day off, so I went down and swapped the cams over and it still wouldn't start!!!
Turns out I hadn't plugged the coil pack in, so after two seconds I turned the key and happy fucking days!!!
Drove it home without and problems but did notice a whine, gutted!! Turns out the cam belt is a little tight.
So I need to sort outa few things and I'll be set (so to speak).
Jobs to do:
Re-tension the cambelt
Adjust the clutch
Bleed the coolant properly
Sort out the induction
Swap door locks, petrol cap, boot lock so there on the same key as the ignition
Fit a new PAS pump
Fit cambelt cover
Fit breathers
New exhaust on
Cam cover seals
Fit my new seats
For some reason the radio and central locking are off so that needs to be looked at too.

Great feeling when it starts up due to sorting a problem, had similar niggles myself recently all caused by my own laziness however

After yesterday's full day of pissing about I decided on an easy one.
Swapped all the locks from the donor S, life's easier with one key for everything.

Looking forward to Saturday to fitting my Supersprint Centre Section, OMP Recliners, OMP Corsica Wheel (Leather and not Suede) and Nissen Rad.
I'll button up the last few bits too and then I'll be happy. Think I want a standard VTR rear bench in for now until I can find something a bit better.

350mm, had a small wheel on my Daihatsu and wished it was bigger (as we all do) so went for the larger one.

I know what your saying, I have a 300 and I can't see what speed I'm going most of the time as the top of it covers the dials!

Started sorting a few of the last jobs out.
Sealed the cam covers properly, replaced a couple of the bolts on the inlet which went missing while it's been in various garages etc.
Found out that the stereo and central locking was just a fuse. PAS as always just needed a tap of a hammer. Need to put the replacement on asap.
Took the old interior out and gave it good inside before I fit my new ones tomorrow.
On the plus I fitted my new wheel.
New centre section, seats and gearbox arm bush thing all getting done tomorrow.

How do you find the wheel? I remember having a saxo and that omp wheel with boss made the wheel waaay to close for me meaning I had to back up the seat so my arms wouldnt foul on the bucket seats....which then meant I was too far from the pedals..

Seems alright size wize, I was worried I might be too far back for the pedals but as I say it seems ok. Ask me again in six weeks.
