I'm not convinced. I believe my Simpson motorsport helmet to be exactly the same as the motorcycle version, just with the nomex lining. I would argue that a motorcycle helmet would need to be stronger as there is more risk and far more risk from direct impacts than when strapped to someone in harnesses and a bucket seat

motorbike helmets are not tested for roll bar or object impacts. they are designed to withstand surface loading with contact with a flat surface in testing. This will differ in the way in which they are constructed
