Ryans right tbh, it was bassline garage not so long ago and its the worst genre of music EVER produced, have to admit theres the odd one or two that i like but the rest are all shit, all commercial with no underground scene.
Dubstep is very popular so therefore getting quite mainstream, but if you dig and get into the scene there is some good material around!

as ryan said tbh, its a lot of commercial crap, because people dont know about the underground sounds
danny speaks truth too, bassline is possibly the worst thing ever

music is opinion what you may not like others love so instead of saying bassline garage or dubstep, whatever you want to call it, is shit, you should say i personally do not like dubstep.

but then the argument is, what is dubstep? something you hear on radio1? i think not.. even on the dubstep forum theres a call for change from the generic radio / commercial crap
same with dnb, pendulum arent dnb, yet all the radio listeners think they love dnb because they heard slam or turantula..

It's on the lines tho aint it, most people will get into the more underground artist by listening to more of the commercial stuff.
Most of the dubstep scene are little skinny frags who think they're " original" when they all wear the same farmer shirts and skinny jeans. The " oh this aint dubstep " thing is another thing on the lines of it, if eastern jam or saxon aint dubstep then I don't know what is.

lol, youd think that, but it seems with this scene its different, people dont want to get more underground.. the true dub heads are already underground.. the skinny white uni kids are happy listening to chase & status thinking theyre cool
are you being serious about eastern jam and saxon btw? lol... i went to whyNotDUB? biggest dub event of the year, and i didnt hear one C&S tune get played. everyone tells me theyre the biggest dub producers out there, yet they cant get one play at the biggest dub event? you do the math
everyone seems to think the only producers in dubstep are:
skream
benga
chase & status
caspa & rusko
they forget about the likes of:
kutz
kode9
n-type
hatcha
starkey
neil landstrumm
cotti
clueKid
chefal
juttla
the bug
boxcutter
burial
the others
2652
pinch
d1
kromestar
i could go on forever... the dub scene's been around since the early 90s (true dub) that is, where it was reggae influenced beats with a UK twist, it stemmed from the jungle era and was a slower more "toned down" version, its only recently when all the mad wobble basslines got introduced that people want to listen. on the dubstep forum theres a huge call for it to return to its true roots

I'm a huuuuuge DNb fan, dubstep's ok but it can't beat the likes of this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imp0B...e=channel_page
Also strangely lovin the new electronic sounds from Adam feeland, worth checking out his stuff, HATE is a wicked tune especially for cars with huge subs. Check it out:

Yeaa I am serious about saxon and eastern jam definately, if they wernt, then why would people like n-type play them on his show on rinse?
They definately ain't the best out there at all, but they do make good tunes. I've heard the slowed down dnb/jungle comparisons before, which i can kinda see where its comin from.
I do like most of the older dubstep, but one tune which I think is the most overrated is anti war dub by dmz. wayyy too boring.

lol, same opinions then, ive never been a fan of the anti war dub either!
i agree with what you mean about C&S, there commercial stuff is nowhere near as good as their underground stuff. and people seem to think theyre the best DJ's in the world, i asked a few people if they wanted to go to dub4life @ area in london yesterday, and theyre reply was "are chase and status playing" i said nah, theres some good dubstep DJ's, and they were like "nah but C&S make better tunes"
wtf seriously lol, top producers are never the best DJ's, (or very rarely)
