Use it on the old pc, it's so slow due to all the virus's you get from it.

Its shit. There only viruses if you download dodgy files which are quite obvious which are which.
Its a peer to peer file sharing program. Ilegal for music downloads in England, but legal in quite a few other countries, at least it was.

What he said...I use it now and again but not excessively. My sister's flat mate got caught using it and had a letter sent through the post warning them that they will stop their internet connection.
/thread as I don't think we're allowed to talk about stuff like this.

i used to use bearshare, which was awesome, and 100% legal, then for some reason i couldn't connect to it anymore? Wouldn't sign me in, so i got limewire and its ok, and i thought it was legal, because its sharing files with other people?

no its illegal, bearshare was also illegal (well sharing copyrighted material). Your sharing copyrighted material doesnt matter who or how.
Liam as per the dude above depends what your sharing which is why im saying keep discussions above board here

I used to use it, but there are far too many viruses on it. It used to be a good P2P site for sharing of freeware material but it went rapidly downhill a couple of years back and has now been superceeded by other better sites and software.
