Thanks for he positive replies! Helps me to keep motivated, as this is quite a testing build...
New track rods and link rods
Fucked bushes, so replaced them with powerflex
Refurbished the strut
Started welding
Figured out the wastegate runner
The welds aren't the prettiest but they'll do the job, quite content with them since I'm just a desk monkey
Have to call it a day, since the I've used up all the gas for welding...

Finally finished welding!
But I've lost (misplaced) the rubber coupler from the turbo - intercooler piping
Brakes and fluids will go on/in tonight and so I can put her back on her wheels.
After that it's just routing the vacuum lines and sorting out the wiring.

Cheers,
When it comes to funds, it's all about bargain hunting and spending hours online (re)searching parts. It took me about 10 months to source everything, and even with all that it's not cheap but I think I got 30% off of the total costs.

It's back on it's wheels, decided to take the weekend off since my vacation ended and the misses required some attention too
Tonight I'll continue with sorting out the vacuum lines and getting a start on the wiring.
(lower boost pipe is not connected to the turbo, hence the awkward hanging down)

Cheers mate!
The build was fun but quite challenging, since time was an issue because it's on the driveway and I only had 2 weeks off from work.
If you have a place where the car can stand for longer periods the pressure in't on as much and the build wuild be much more enjoyable.
How's your build going? Not going to weld up your own mani anymore?

That's good to hear rowan, and I know what you mean about having space, I have an old milking parlour for my car and all the bikes we have so it makes work slower as you can just do stuff when you feel like it.
And no I couldn't be bothered making my own so stalked one on ebay the other day got it for £200, tried it on today and it fits lovely with the t28,
Only problem is it doesn't have an external wastegate runner so I'm going to have to get one in somehow :/

Old firmware
Updated to latest firmware
It is a bit overwhelming as a first time dealing with this sort of thing.
But it's just another challenge
