Watch Dogs
Anyone heard anything about this?
It's out in like 3 days I believe and it actually looks pretty good! Sort of similar to GTA5 - open world, crime etc etc
I've only just found out about it so thought I'd let you guys know. I will probably buy it!

Looks great.
The online looks good too. You jump into other people's single player games to attack them.

I just can't believe I've heard nothing about it until today!
I'm starting to get bored of GTA online now lol so I'll probably buy this - Got a nice new 40" Tv today so can test it out.
Is it worth spending a bit on a decent HDMI cable? or are the cheap ones not much different?

Personal preference.
Personally I would go for a 1.4 cable. I know the 2.0 ones are out but they handle mostly 4k resolutions, which am guessing your not on currently. If your new tv aint 3D you could go for the 1.3 variant. Small details on the differences between them and what you see on screen.

Just for the record guys, you can purchase this NOW
Argos self service tills are allowing the game to be sold. Go to the self service till and use catalogue number: 139/4399 and pay. You'll also receive 2 £10 gift vouchers.
DO NOT go to a normal manned till. They will refuse you!

Sound I may get a better one then. Not sure what version mine is but it was dead cheap and unbranded!

After posting last night I did a little reading and realised my info is correct but they are now not allowed to call them different versions 1.0,1.2 etc. They all have diff names, I couldn't tell you which is which now. Higher up range you go though does not mean you have to spend a lot. My cable cost £40, but I could prob plug a £10 maplins one in and I prob wouldn't see that many differences.

I tried earlier and it was a no-go in Lincoln. That was a tiny store however.
Plenty of people are reporting that they've got it at bigger stores this way. There's even a reddit thread somewhere.
**EDIT**
I've preordered it with Game today. I'll be collecting it at midnight tomorrow (32 hours or so)

Interesting that the publishers are not allowing official reviews to be released until it's released and those who have independently reviewed it haven't given it rave reviews and they are being denounced by the publisher as fake. I'll wait and see as the concept sounds good

There are plenty of video reviews on Youtube with nothing but praise. It looks like awesome fun.

Picked this up a couple of hours ago and so far, i'm quite impressed.
I only played the single player enough to complete the tutorials and unlock the multiplayer side.
1v1 hacking: This was the one that interested me. The idea behind this is that you're just another person in somebody elses game. You've got to hack their phone without being found. You look like a regular NPC to the person you're attacking. If you get caught, you have to escape. No killing is allowed. I tried hacking a couple of people and it's pretty hard. The further into the hack you get, the smaller the search zone gets revealing your position.
Team Decryption: This is pretty much team death match. It's a 4v4 with a twist. There is a file on the map that you need to collect and decrypt. If you get the file, keep it. Also, you decrypt the file quicker with team mates close to you. It makes it a lot more team orientated. The twist is that they haven't got to kill you to take the file. If they're in range for long enough, they take it wirelessly. First team to decrypt the file wins.
Online racing: Pretty much says it all to be honest.
That's all i've managed so far. I'll post more when I know more!

Sounds good! What's the story mode/free mode like?
I'll see how much it is in Tesco later and maybe buy it!

Without spoilers, a job goes wrong and your niece is killed in a revenge attack. You're looking for the attacker.
Haven't really tried free mode yet. Story mode is pretty good!
