New Boot Floor Cost
While fitting an exhaust on Saturday I had a good chance to look at the underneath of the car.
Unfortunately not good news as the rear of the boot floor is fairly rotten...all the stuff in the picture below basically came away in my hand. I also poked a hole into the boot as the metal is so thin!
How much would a new floor panel cost to buy new and weld in?
Bear in mind the arches seem ok...its just the floor so not a complete loss as far as I can see. The rest of the car also seems ok bar the usual hole under the ECU.

I'd kick off trying to find out if you can even get hold of a boot floor first dude.
Then the price will vary depending on who you get to do the job, there's not a "price" as such.

Yeah I spoke to a guy last night and reckons about 400quid...maybe more, maybe less once he sees it.
Got a day off Monday so will go to Citroen and see if the panel can still be had.

u33db,
I would be very surprised if citroen supplies a boot floor, I contacted them the other day. They could supply me with the inner wheel arch but stopped supplying a wing stiffener.
Is the hole boot floor rotten, do you have a mig welder?
Does anyone know if any other companies make aftermarket chassis parts?

My dad has a MIG.
The boot is rotten directed above where the exhaust is...you poke holes through but only on the floor...the arches seem ok.
Underneath the strengthening rails that go from the cross member to the back have also had it.
Would be interested if any other companies can supply the parts too.

u33db,
I once repaired a boot on my mates RS1600. we cut the peace we needed for a breaking escort and fitted to the section that needed repaired.

I'm fairly sure Citroen don't supply them. if you don't want to use one from a scrap car then the only other option is to use a flat bit of steel and shape it to fit.

Your probably right & for the cost of floor/welding you could pick up another saxo.
