Right then, it been a while.
Few small updates since last time....
To go with our nice new manifold I ordered some exhaust wrap and high temp paint....
We had more than enough paint, so even though the manifold is stainless, I gave it a quick coat of paint first before wrapping it....
Then wrapped and painted the manifold again (no pics).
We then removed the old manifold.
There was a slight crack in it...
Removed the lambda sensor...
Then we got the new manifold all fitted up with a fresh gasket, new high temp k-nuts and a genuine gearbox/lower manifold mount...
All fired up...
Whilst changing the manifold, we noticed a slight weep from one of the coolant hoses and that another was split (but not leaking).
Considering how old they were, we decided to change the whole lot for some new silicone hoses.
We ordered a top, bottom and heater bypass hose from Baker BM...
Whilst we were changing the hoses over, I decided I wanted a decent place to drain the coolant from instead of pulling a hose off and the coolant going everywhere.
I bought a temp sensor adaptor off eBay and machined it to accept an M12 bung...
I can then just cut the new lower hose and add that in. This gives us a proper place to drain the coolant from.
I also ordered some decent hose clips...
We also decided to treat ourselves to a quick release steering wheel boss. Rather than buy cheap, buy twice, we bit the bullet and bought a Krontec boss. They're a little pricey but they don't develop play like the spline type bosses...
I also treated myself to a new go pro...
