Well I gave myself a month to get it all sorted, which has just gone now. But I have done quite a lot more work than I thought I would initially.
Second hand Piper four branch fitted today. Had to move the alternator wiring a bit to clear the new manifold, but other than that it's a very good fit.

I was wondering what have you used to remove the underseal like on the rear arches? Power tools and paint stripper? Thanks.

Hi, I didn't use paint stripper anywhere. I used an angle grinder with flap sanding discs and various wire brushes, and a drill with various attachments too. It was a fair few nights of getting covered in all sorts of crap. Goggles are a must!

Finally, I have finished the Saxo! (Well, kind of)...
Today I reassembled everything back on to the rear axle, which is fresh from IMaxles. Wezmoto braided hoses, new rear hubs and bearings, and new abs sensors (these are wrong, so I've left it disconnected for now).
I fired it up after refitting the exhaust earlier, it was a bit of a moment as it hadn't been started since the cambelt was changed, the fuel tank was removed, the oil and coolant were changed, and the manifold was fitted!
Thankfully it started fine and I was able to take it for a drive to get some fuel.
Looking forward to driving it some more now!

Been driving it around a bit to day to get the brakes bedded in etc. The brakes took three attempts to bleed as the system had been completely emptied.
It's driving great now and the 266mm brakes feel really powerful.
The only problem now is the exhaust blowing loads at the joint between the cat and centre section. Does anyone know if there's meant to be a gasket of some sort in there? It's a fairly standard exhaust and there wasn't a gasket in there before I dismantled it. It sounds like it's blowing too much for a bit of gun gum to seal it tbh, but may try that.

Should be fitted one of these if I didn't get that wrong:

Yeah it's got one of those between the front pipe and cat, but does it need another one between the cat and the centre section?

Awesome work. I'm jealous of how much you've got done in such a short time. I've had about 6 months if not more and not got anywhere near as much done!

Cheers. The Mrs definitely wasn't too happy at times, but I just kept going out there and chipping away at it. I had taxed and insured it just before taking it off the road, so the incentive was there!

I only needed one from bottom of manifold n pipe to cat. From cat to back pipe and back box should just slide together and then clip and bolt to secure in and then sealed up. Is what I did on mine however if blowing at front you might need spring kit.

Loving the progress you making on the saxo. You any good engine wise? Need poss head gasket redoing on mine due to leaks from rocker cover cant pinpoint if at top if top I can do if bottom then guessing time for head gasket and new seal done?

Cheers, I reckon it's more likely that it'll be your rocker cover leaking.
I followed the advice of someone on here and removed the little bits that stick out which are meant to space out the gasket. Remove those and then use silicone sealant to seal it up. This is what I did on mine and it hasn't leaked yet.
With regard to the exhaust, i already replaced the spring kit etc between the front pipe and car and that doesn't leak. It's between the car and the centre section. I used some gun gum on the joint yesterday and it's pretty much sealed it anyway. It'll do for now.

Sorry,I have the Saxport and don't remember the original configuration on the VTS but do you have one of these fittings? If so only the one on the top would need a gasket as you know, sorry I can't be of any more help.
