106 Gti Engine loom plug identification
Lets start with facts.....i'm crap at wiring identification even with the Haynes wiring diagrams and since i haven't removed an engine loom i'm struggling to identify what is what. I have been trawling the forum and google images to try and figure out what is connected to what without success.
Excluding the obvious - 2 x engine to interior loom plugs and ECU plug i'm stuffed!
Ive attached photos of the engine loom with coloured rings around each plug in the hope someone might recognise what is connected to what.
Once identified i'm stripping back the loom to relocate the ECU plug behind the glove box and to make it more difficult the engine and box are not fitted.

106 Gti Engine loom plug identification
I’ve started stripping the engine loom back but wondering what the hell this relay / unit is.
Any ideas?

That big relay is the fuel injection relay.
It controls the fuel pump and bridges loads of other connections for the ECU. Definitely keep your snips away from it hahaha

Oh dear!! i've had to cut 7 wires to allow the ECU plug & harness to be located in the correct position to go through one of the bulk head grommets behind the servo.
These will be extended this evening, do you think by extending the 7 wires i would have issues with the fuel injection system?
At least i know what it is and does now!
