can you get super glue off paint?
Ok stupid i know but when changing my number plate bulbs the clip snapped so i used super glue to fix it.
Not realising i had some on my thumb i went to fit it back and got it on the painted plastic of the boot lock surround and its left a lovely thumb print 
is there anything i can do to get it off other than removing, sanding and repainting?

I'm sure you can get super glue remover (dissolves it), not sure what it would do to your paint though. You tried a bit petrol?

polish.. if it doesnt polish off you can wet sand with fine wet and dry then polish

will try the glue and tar remover first, if no luck ill wet sand it.

a good tarr and glue remover i found was this

pretty good stuff i found. munched through the stuff on the lower doors of my xsi. and thats all been on there for at least 4 years.
autoglym's stuff struggled to get still soft flies of a 6 month off freshly waxed 208 in comparison.

Try isopropanol of alcohol that will soften it up a little and won't damage the paint
