It's never straight forward is it. I was driving the car this morning and the engine check light came on. I'll plug in the code reader and see what's up. Still no change in the jerking.

Wouldn't that have shown up on the diagnostic though? Are there any obvious signs if the sensor is not working properly? Everything seems in order...

As per my thread, first ditch the 3 plug ecu and replace with single plus wiring etc.
When you've done that think about kms, boddies etc. I know a mate whos had continous problems with the 3 plug loom and blowing displays and widebands - In fact he text me only a couple of hours ago saying another one had blown
So in conclusion, ditch 3 plug, then go for more power, IMO

Why would I ditch my ECU now? I'd lose my map which cost £400 + ! ! ! Also, if I'm planning on doing the TBs, I won't be using the ECU anymore either, so it can go in the bin.

But you'd still have 3 plug issues.....
Rewire it, plug in kms (you can get a plug and play adapter for single plug), put on tb's and everything else thats needed with tbs. You wont be running it anyway while your putting tbs on i assume?

I'm lost. Why should I go to all this hassle when I'll ditch the standard ECU eventually anyway?

Just because your losing the 3 plug ecu doesnt mean by getting someone to hardwire a kms in your going to loose all your 3 plug issues....

Now you have totally lost me, lol!
A little update... To say I was fcuked off would be a serious understatement. Like I said earlier, the engine check light came on this morning. I used my diag tool to see what it was reporting, and to my horror, it was the same old bloody codes. P0136 - Sencond lambda sensor malfunction (I changed it just 1 week ago and it turned the enine check light off!) and also the old message I hadn't seen in a while, P0606 - ECM / PCM problem. FFS, I give up... Also, the jerking is still the same.

Cheers Pred, although, if there was a bin big enough, I'd probably chuck it in it the way I'm feeling right now.
JP, if I did get the KMS kit, with its own loom, why would I still have 3 pin ECU issues, I don't understand. I thought all that stuff would be taken out and replaced with the KMS stuff.
