Visited tom5190 in his unit again. I was due a second cambelt and waterpump change, annoyingly enough the cambelt, waterpump and bearings had loads of life back in them, however it would have to be done at some point in my ownership now i dont have to think about it again plus i got to fit the thermostat that has been kicking around for ages.
All my new parts from TPS
Jacked up, engine cover and washer bottle/expansion tank removed
Alt belt and bottom pulley off
Engine mount removed, however i have to horrid one piece cambelt cover so its an absolute pain to get the mount base out!!
We were stuck at this point over night just no room to get it out!
Next morning after using brute force it came out would love to know the proper way of doing it! belt and pump off
New belt and pump on
Genuine parts used, because the one i took out wasnt genuine i couldnt get my surcharge back!
With everything off we took the laternator off as its an ideal time to acess the thermostat, old one off
Pretty much back together
Checking bleeding went to plan
