the cams that are in are just mild profile, putting ph3's in and need an ecu for future plans. gti has 24mm roll bar as standard so must be driveable.

and the whole car is getting resprayed soon anyway so didnt need a perfect job, just needed all the trim to be the same, some was smooth and some was textured, think some of them are partco stylee panels. didnt get any overspray and got a decent finish so i dont care.

well. The newman PH3's are fitted, the red show cage is back in, wheels have been painted a slightly lighter shade of gunmetal, lower strut brace fitted, 24mm ARB and new drivehsfts being fitted next tuesday. will try get some pics over next few days, also getting alot done to the vtr in 2 weeks time. piper cams and pulley, bmc to replace the crap thats on it, fast road brake kit, comp brake quickshift, powerflex mount, and supersprint race system. just fitted some smoked jewel rear lights, black headlights and indecators, and a anthrecite upper strut brace as well as getting the rocker cover powder coated, starting to look quite good now. again will get pictures soon.

well fitted the new rocker covers and black headlining today, cleaned the engine bay up a bit ready for the show on sunday too.

this is lookin amazing, i am also going for a red and black theme and i have exactly the same plans for the interior, gti leathers and red rallye carpet!! Glad ive seen the pics now as it makes me want to do it even more

Finding it very hard to track down the carpet though

(dont suppose you want to swap for a standard vtr one do you lol)

Edit: just seen your replacing the leathers with reclining buckets

well, cars off the road until i get the headgasket done :|. so whilst its off the road ive been getting on with a few bits and peices, stripped out, leather is now in the vtr, painted all the bootfloor and arches in red and jet washed the carpet, removed the dash to make way for the 106 dash thats going in, re painted single wiper conversion so thats goin on once dash and evreything is back in. streamline door cards with porsche door straps and s2 106 door bins going in this week at some point. just using the rallye seats for now but trying to get a set of black reclining buckets. air feed now relocated to the morrettes, smoothing boot lock, door badges and started to sort out my front bumper. will be lots of updates in next few days, heres some pics for now. let me kow what you think.

fitted the 106 dash today, went alot easier than i thought, also fitted the 106 door bins and handles and some grab straps, starting to take shape, just need my streamline door cards now.
