Try get a similar anthracite to what renault use on the sports, I will get you the paintcode if you want. Also Romax is more of a brown/gold than anthracite lol

It needs a turbo tbh mate, fuck getting an evo when you could just rape them in the golf

Thats my theory mate exact grey i want tbh, too dark is a no go

Turbo will not be getting done mate, for the price id pay for the kit etc i could have 20k sitting about but who knows it may change, i estimated about 4 - 4.5k to get the car how i want with everything on it thats including cams and remap, so should see over 300 without forced induction

I prefer the look of the wheels in silver. If you're goi g to have them refurbed then why not ne different and have them done a really light metallic gold?

A nice hi power silver would work the best on the golf imo dude...it would keep it looking fresh and keep it looking 'modern'. A nice anthracite colour would look cool aswel mind

Haldex controller is about 700, this progress thread wont be as quick as lets say a saxo with parts costing about 5 times as much as that of a saxo so its not going to be a quick progress

As for cams im ok for now mate, its only done 36k and always been took to a specialist for servicing off the previous owners, id expect my cams to be in pretty good shape and as you said schrick cams will be something im going to do but im getting all the handling sorted first

kw coilovers, adjustable rear tie bars then the arbs most likely, then some mounts for engine, heard good things about the dogbone mount being uprated so ill be doing that

Ill be in touch if i get stuck though
only know seeing this reply mate lol. no probs, your plans sound good, ye parts are pretty expensive for VW. im gutted our r32 went i fuccking loved that car. 550hp in a golf was fun as hell. still got the cams if your ever interested in a spare standard set let me know any offer would get them shot as their just in my garage.

can also see you ordered the vag com awsome bit of kit spent hours doing runs etc in my old mans on the laptop.

good luck
