Settings, Wallpaper, click on twin screen image (if on 3Gs) and select from image library, then when prompted will ask if you want to save to to lock screen, home screen or both

That's what I wanna know, the slider on the bottom of the lock screen, how the hell do you customise that? JAILBREAK? Keep it on 3.1.3?
