Rowing ability
Decided to use the Rowing machine last nite for 20 mins.
Messed with the settings a bit and decided to shove it on 10 (max) to see what kinda challenge it would be. Managed to get 4500m in the 20mins I was using it. Averaging 27m/s.
Anyone know if thats good at all? Aint been going to the Gym for long and still trying to find out what machines have any affect on me. Tend to do 20-30mins high intensity afteer say a 10min warm up cycle.

In 10 mins i do:
2400m which give an avg. of 2:05mins/500m - im knakered by the end of it mind so i wouldnt be able to maintain that pace for 20mins (it hurts my backside too much).
My row rate is quite slow used to be 14rows/m
but have moved up to 20rows/m
When I started at the gym my time was nearer 2:30mins/500m so you've defo go a wicked start there.

im doing it to boost my upper body. I think all the power right now is coming from my legs, as they are built up from years of cycling and football.
Glad to know im on the right track

yup it was 10 but i guess the hard setting could vary between rowing machines.
I think the ones i use are the Cybex Concept II

either 1 or 10 lol, depends on the gym, but allways the hardest.
think my best is under 1.30 for a 500. i tend to only do it as a warm up tho so dont push it.
