iPhone 5 announcement 12th September
Looks all but confirmed (no real surprises on an Apple launch as usual!!)
Interested? Care?
Im looking to replace my ageing and dying iphone 4. Dont fancy an S3, dont overly enjoy android so an iPhone 5 makes sense for me personally (please no fanboi wars I own both ios and android devices and its my opinion!)
So rumoured changes:
larger screen
thinner
new dock
improved camera?
Meh not much in the way of improvements but apart from initial innovation when have apple ever broke new ground with the iphone, doesnt matter to me really.
I just hope they release when im in yankland so i can fill my case up and sell them on ebay

I'm waiting for this announcement before I decide on what to do. The S3 is an awesome phone but I'm not getting one until I know about the iPhone5.
Joys of working in a shopping centre, I already have mine on order. Unofficially of course!

That's what I was told. Fortunately for me, I start work at 6:30am, 3 staff get in at 8am but we don't open until 8.30am. Gives me half an hour to be stood outside the door lol

Has the price been finalised?
I'm due my upgrade and might aswell flog my 4s whilst the fanboys who are behind the times are still creaming over them.

Hasn't yet but can guess it will take the 4s price point and the rest will stagger down in the line. Contract prices I'm gonna stab at ridiculous 40-50 p/month for a shite tariff and still have to pay a handset cost lol

I've had my 4 for over two years. Now on giffgaff as £10 per month, totally unlimited data, 250 mins and unlimited texts. Really can't beat that.
I'll probably buy a 5 without a contract but it's gonna sting

I have actually done that the last few years and taken whatever upgrade phone they will give me for nowt, usually a good one then flogged it to recoup the loss. I can see me doing that again this year, probably make them give me an S3 and i should be able to cover the capital cost of the iphone 5 by flogging the s3 and my current ip4

Would love to get the 5 sim free but thats serious coin and this time of year for me is considered too close to christmas and trying to fund a normal working month after sick pay kinda knocks it on the head.

Yeah It will be a big step to buy it out right but I'm going to do that once I get myself a Job! I'm too scared to get myself into any more long contracts!

I was excited but got bored of waiting. My iP5 was almost 2 years old and a year out of contract. did loads of research into alternative phones basing my knowledge of the 5's spec on speculation and ended up with a Galaxy Note
The interface isn't quite as slick as an Apple product, and there are a few slight adjustments I've had to make to accommodate but overall I am more than happy with it.
For me, the screen quality and camera are infinitely better than the iPhone, the choice of Apps is good, the fact you can have almost any browser you want installed and the sound quality of calls is excellent.
If I could, I'd have the functionality of the Note, with the smooth, slick interface of the iPhone. I'd have the screen size of the Note, but the build quality of the iPhone.
Will the iPhone 5 make me wet? Possibly, but for what I want, right here, right now, the Note is simply epic!
