Forsale / wanted cleanup idea
Give every person who creates the thread in there able to DELETE there thread, But when you 'delete' it, it goes into a hidden sub fourm for the mods to see so feedback can be left for itrader and so on. That way way as soon as you have sold an item we can remove our thread and clean up the section fast and easy!

Don't really see the point in it if im honest, think it would just be easier if people could spare 3 seconds and change their thread title to say SOLD when everything's gone

But it can take ages for a mod to delete it, So thats why you can just do it yourself to clear it and move it to a hidden thread graveyard or whatever.
And its not alot of effort to go to your post and push a delete button isit its more effort to type PLEASE DELETE MY THREAD THANKS!
So dont give me that saying its to much effort.
^^^ Btw My houston the last part was not aimed at you

But its not actually being deleted it just gets moved to a 'graveyard' thats hidden but still there if you search for it. But you wont be able to post in it. If that makes sence?

Lol @ Fhe.
Does Simo know about this magical graveyard? Or does that have to be created?

Its pointless... Just change the thread title to sold, then no one will go in it unless they're a spaz

How can everyone else see it if its hidden?
It would also mean an extra section would need setting up and then coding, I mean would VB even support having an automatic drop section where you move a thread when closing etc.... Current system works, I mean look at SSC for example with the no reply system everyone hates it.
This forum has a good for sale section which has lots of stuff in and information for people wanting to buy if they check properly.
Plus you want everyone to be able to see it, what good is something only mods can see if say a 105posts 35day noob is searching to see if a seller has sold before and is genuine. I for one wont reply to 400 pms asking if XYZ users are genuine. I dont like pissing in the wind.

You can actually code the fourm to have a sub section that only mods can post in but you can still allow Users that can get into the forsale section to visit.
Its just a faster way of cleaning up the section.
So think of this you have
Forsale -
Saxo Parts
Saxos
Wanted
Wanted Saxo Parts
Wanted Saxo
Wanted ICE
'Graveyard'
Then when you delete a thread, It locks it, and moves it to the graveyard. So it will still come up on searchs and instantly lock it so no one else can post. Just cleans it up ALOT faster. And takes the work off you mods as seems alot of you dislike doing all the work.

Fhe they don't lock it for a reason... There's no point.
All it needs is a title change to "sold" and then its done, there's no point in having to code up another section when it can be easily resolved by just changing the title
