Planet Terror
Anyone seen it?
I was on Odeons website earlier and watched the trailer and I cant make up my mind if its a proper horror or if its like "Dusk Til Dawn" horror with tongue in cheek. I mean a bird loses a leg so they shove a feck off gun on the stump so she can carry on killing the Zombies/living dead/junkies/infected?!?!

yep seen it aaages ago. its shit mate, not worth it at all. from what i remember, theres an infection going about, through blood n shit and a group saves the day.
the lass gets her leg blown off, and one bloke has an inventive idea of strapping a machine gun to her leg? anyways, she masters this
more comic to be fair

The rating on IMDB says it all.
I watched it, and really really enjoyed it. Its gory, its unpleasent, and the picture
is all sketch. But thats the whole friggin point.
If you have seen Sin City then you will understand. You watch the film and are
just drawn into it. The feel of it, the cheesy B movie style. Its just weird, I cant
explain it. Adds to the action, makes you laugh at the cheesy bits even more.
But at the same time its so well done. The bits that are made to be wank in it
are done so well. I think its one of those things, if you want to go and just watch
a daft and entertaining film, then this is perfect. It will make you squirm, jump,
laugh blah blah. If your gonna be a "critic" then don't bother.

I dont know. From the moment I watched it I was glued. It was different, it was
refreshing and it was worth watching imo.
All these horror and action films that come out now are all the same. Nothing new,
the days of Nightmare on Elm Street, Night of the Living Dead, Die Hard and what
not are long gone.
This film to me wasnt those, but was near enough just as good in its own little
way. I was just really taken back by how slick and different the film once.
Yea its cheesy, thats the whole point.

i cant think of many other films where a bird has a gun for a leg dude so i would say yes this is the film
Rush: from your review it sounds like something i would like. I dont like proper horror it scares the shit out of me and i like sleeping when i can so anything that puts me off sleeping is bad

I have all the above movies and would recommend 30 days of night its awesome and a great fresh look on vampire flicks quite chilling aswell for a vampire they normally seem a little tonque in cheek for me but that is great.
I also like planet terror seen a good few months back and enjoyed it
