Been playing it for 4 and a half years. I could proper nerd it up if you wanna go into full blown wow chat!???

*Edit* Blizzard can disable your account for any reason, but they don't do it unless the reason is backed up with evidence. Your account (whether you knew about it or not) will have had to of been involved in something against the EULA.

If you simply stop playing, your character is left exactly as it was when you logged out. Characters never get deleted etc.

I've been playing since the American Beta test. Played American retail too and swapped to EU when it was launched over here.

Graphics are amazing. It's all hand drawn artwork, none of this try and make it as realistic as possible malarky that is ruining games.

Eh...

It's an MMO, not a simulator. Also, how can the gameplay feel spongy? All you do is press walk and press buttons to do spells. It's as simple as gameplay gets.

Just didnt know if you were biased or something.
Ill show you what I mean.
Lineage II is like 5-6 years old.
Heres a screenshot of my toon sometime ago...

Heres a WoW screenshot:

I'm not saying you dont find it fun,
I just find it way too restrictive and the graphics are somewhat cartoony, aimed at ten year olds.

I play WoW now and again. But only with mates cus I find its just like chatting on msn with something to do at the same time lol. I hate the graphics in games like Lineage II, Guild Wars etc. cus it just seems like they are trying overly hard to be something they ain't. I'm not a hardcore gamer but I can understand why as soon as you admit to playing WoW you're a stereotype

Can't see how anyone can declare those graphics to be crappy.

I seriously hate it man, I dont know what it is. Each to their own and that man.

Look at that shirt your characters wearing for example.
Reaaaallly bad texture.

Arguably though, my Lineage II screeny, that basic hill to the side of my char looks toss.

So you don't think the graphics are bad then, you just don't like the art style? Big difference

Ye it's a custom UI i made from using different mods.

Easiest way to get mods and keep them up to date is with the curse client (used to be WoWAce). It lists all mods in one nifty program and will update them all with one button press.

http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/default.aspx has all the mods listed and will prompt you to get the client at some point.

If you want my UI, i can zip it up for you to use as long as you have a 16:10 widescreen monitor.

Karl,

In the latest expansion, high res textures have been implemented although not everything is as it doesn't need to be. Example, look at the shoulder texture compared to everything else:

Even with the lower res textures still present, the game looks amazing.

Just wait till you play WoW in widescreen, you'll be wondering how the fuck you ever played it on a 4:3 monitor!
