Scart Lead no sound!
Ok, in the back of my TV i have 2 scart sockets, in 1 is my xbox 360, in the other is an adapter which extends to an extra 3 scart sockets, and in 2 of them, i have my DVD player and my PS2. Now i only set it up yesterday, but if i start my PS2 up its fine, the sound and everything is fine, but when i start my DVD player up, theres no sound coming out. The picture and everything is spot on, but theres no sound. Surely thats not right? Does anybody know what might cause this? Dodgy scart extension maybe?

have you tried the scart lead in another socket?
if the problem persists you will need to try another scart lead!

i unplugged the PS2 whilst my dvd player was on, then the DVD sound came on, plugged the PS2 back in, sound went back off. So its like the PS2 is overriding the dvd player. Why is that? Whats the point in getting a scart extension if it doesnt work properly? It is quite an old scart extension and old TV. Would getting a more upto date scart extension work?

hit and miss. Scart is pretty old and basic technology. Have you tried swapping the inputs you have the ps2/dvd player in.
Out of interest if you have both ps2 and dvd scarts plugged in, does the sound work if you have the power off to the ps2 as in the plug out the wall not just on standby?

i've tried all the above but no luck with any of it. I'll just buy a more upto date scart adapter and see if that works?
