the lairiest camshaft you can fit is the ph3 or equivilent, this will need the s1 as it wont idle propeprly as the standard in let is too restricive

understood, thats what i thought tbh.

my saxo has 13 row mocal with thermostatoic end plate, 4 branch exhaust stright through, with the pollished up 106 rallye inlet fanimold added i will cant a cam next. I want to run it about 135 - 140bhp with a rallye or xsi box, but bullit proof internals, bit by bit i want to by con rods, big ends etc etc... then map it to rev its tits off....

what cam would you recomend to reach 135 - 145 bhp with those mods?? mid range torque is what i would like the most...

oh also what is the biggest OE radiator you can fot the the saxo? I could have go a Peugoet 405 GLX rad for £20 earlier...

getting a vtr to that power will cost a SERIOUS amount of money n/a, and an oil cooler with those mods is too much imo, will be overcooling your oil, with the power figures youll be at youll never get to a temp during general road driving that will require an oil cooler

its lasted well with the oil cooler so far 144k! thats why i have the thermostatic end plate so it only cools when hot enough...

So what bhp would you expect to see with a cam and remap with my mods, plus the 106 polished rallye inlet and xsi box ?? 130??

dpends on timing, how good the map is,type of camshaft, and generall condition of the engine, and also what other mods, i wouldnt imagine an engine with that amount of miles would see such a high figure but it does happen occasionally, 120-125 is a safer bet, not many get to 130

ok so im looking at 130bhp in dreamland down hill with a good honest fart behind it... lol. 126 sounds a nice figure to aim for then.... Power engineering it rr'd 110bhp with 110lbs/ft that was with piperX open filter and oe fanimold, no cat striaght through exhaust. i have a laminated copy somewhere.

The engine imo is a good egg, if you know what i mean, it seems to be a solid one straight from the assembly line, hense why i dont want to crack it open before i have to. lots of motorway driving and regular oil / liquid changes every 12k, has seen it wear well i hope.

Fitted one of these for Jordy_6969 today, works a treat, started up first time and ran like a dream.

Shame we had to cutup the 57i intake pipe though!
