Is the internet connection being disrupted on all connected items? or just some of them?

This will sound obvious but have you tryed resetting the router settings, or maybe a firmware upgrade?

Youll have to log into the router using the ip address, its usually written on the router. Then it should have a section about firmware on the GUI.

It may be a case that the router is faulty or the modem if it is effecting both the wired and the wireless connections.

Your on the same connection as me basically.

I run a Be Broadband 24mb ADSL 2+ line.
It's supposed to be 24mb download and 1.3mb upload.

Where I live there is a lot of line noise and Be/O2 support is pathetic.

Your best option is to buy a different router that you can use on DMT Tool.
DMT Tool is a program that allows you to manually configure your line's SNR (Signal Noise Ratio)

Usually the further you live from your exchange the higher this will need to be.
My line attenuation is 38db which is quite high, anything below 15db is very very good.

I run my line at 7.5mb and it is stable and is fast for 7.5mb. When I'm on COD I usually always get connection host due to my upload which is handy since having host gives you a big advantage over other players.

If you need further help ask me

ive always found O2 broadband support very good.

I have also had trouble with my O2 wireless box II dropping connection as well. Ring them up and tell them the problem, say you have tried turning it on and off etc. They will most likely say to try a new filter (which they will send you for free). Try it, see if it works. If it doesnt, ring them back and chances are they will send you out another router.

Ive had quite a few problems with my connection but the support team have been brilliant

to check your noise etc, you will need to put this into your internet browser:

http://192.168.1.254/cgi/b/dsl/dt/?ce=1&be=0&l0=1&l1=0 (if that doesnt work, try using just the numbers!)
