i did this today, went well, apart from getting an eye full of petrol stang a bit, just need to get a strap now

i need to change the filter on mine, managed to get a strap from citroen dealer only cost £1.36, if not citroen then try peugeot as 106/306 may well have same mounting system.

Bit off topic but the oil should be 3.5 litres not 4 litres, its the same on all models, read your handbook

just a quick question, i went and bought a new fuel filter from GSF, and i didnt get the fuel filter strap with it, i asked the guy on the counter and he didnt have a clue, he said that it shudnt need one...when i pressed him and said it was in my haynes manual he said it was probably a part only available from a dealer?? Does anyone know if this is true or not? Mines a 1.1 x mk 1, so is it different to the mark 2 and do i need/not need the strap? Iv tried looking underneath the car but the idiot i am i cant find where its located...

sorry to sound stupid but whats the benefits of changing a fuel filter?

mine seems to drink alot of petrol, does changing a fuel filter help with fuel consumption?

also how do you know if it needs changing?

Wheres the best place to get the filters from with the strap? looked on ebay and they on cost about 4 quid? is that about right price or is that some mickey mouse shit filter that will screw up?

hi new to saxo's just bought lad one
it ran ok yesterday but one way home started losing power when pulling away.
its not getting fuel all the time sobought a new filter.
how did you get the pipes off??

i am going to change my filter but i dont have a strap on mine, went into Citroen today and asked him about the strap gezzer didnt have a clue what was onbout, was like there is defo one supposed to be on there anyone got a part number?
