Default Replacing this rubber gaiter on the power steering rack

Hey all - I have a 2002 Saxo 1.1 Desire (electric power steering), and one job I've been meaning to get round to is replacing this broken gaiter on the power steering rack:

Haven't really tried yet, but does anyone know if it's an easy job? Or do I have to take the rack out, drain the fluid, etc...

Also if you've done it yourself, did you have to get a saxo-specific part or are there universal ones?

Cheers

Universal gaiter will do, the knuckle end of the rack needs to come off so you can slip it on.

Cool, thanks, yeah looks like you can just undo that one bolt and slide it right off 👍

I had my broken gaiter replaced. The garage used a a non-original part. It lasted only a couple of years. So I had it redone, now with the original Citroën spare part.

£100 says it’s not original, part expired from Citroen system meaning no genuine ones left, it will be a reproduction part.
