Might need a rear ARB as the car isn't exactly what I would call playful imo.
15-20mm springs? I think that's the prolines, I have them myself. The rides a little harsh over rougher roads, but rock solid. Currently running standard dampers as well, looking to upgrade to cup dampers at some point along with the famous cooksports though.

Yeah Pro-kit/prolines. I think they are actually more comfy than the previous one's!

I'd rather fit the Eibach Sportline and benefit from better quality materials.

I'm sure I read that the Whiteline ARBs actually calmed the rear-end down on these? Less three-wheeling madness. Quicker around a circuit maybe, but not as entertaining.

Haven't heard anything about the Cooksports myself, so I suppose it's just what you hear. There are always going to be cases with different stamps of products though, how it goes.

Oh that's not good. That said mine never does it that I can feel anyway. Maybe when I have the cup dampers on with these springs it may do it.

Massively in need of an alignment now. Might get the pro ace or whatever it's called and do it myself

And top mounts
and gearbox mounts
And probably tyres as i'very been hoping a lot lately lol

Took some more sound deadening out. I think I'm probably at around 1069kg now. That's with rear seats and parcel shelf etc still in the car (put them back in)

Will save a bit more weight getting a lighter battery and when I fit my 15" wheels but still quite far away from 1000kg which is where I want to be.

The opposite. The standard Clio RS is very composed and in my view a little dead / too well behaved at the back. The Whiteline makes it more lively; improving turn in when cornering. Theres nothing wrong with cocking a wheel when cornering hard in a FWD.
We've got a few Whiteline Renault Clio 2 kits in stock now if anyone needs one...

69kg is a lot. What wheels you running? Thats probably the first place I'd look at removing weight..

At present the standard 172 sport wheels. They are very heavy. I have some Megane/laguna 15" wheels that are noticeably lighter even though they have something like 65 profile tyres on them!

I will probably order a whiteline in future. Do kam racing do stickers btw?

Reference cocking the rear wheel. My old saxo and even 1.4 106 could do it with ease even on the road.

I've only been able to do it in the Clio when I'm "off line" ie I can't "make it" do it like I could with the saxo/106's.

Like you say they are far too well behaved as standard and imo capable but not actually as fun as everyone makes out.

I bought my 172 after owning 205 gti's and I didnt gel with it. I should have fitted the Whiteline and stiffened the rear dampers but its all good as I would probably not own the car I do now...

I like for now as it's the quickest thing out there for the price.

Driving position is infuriating and I came from 106's and saxo's.

I actually think my Twingo 133 non cup was better than the 172 other than power.
