Slight update :-
I've found a supersprint exhaust with centre silencer for sale, which I'll be paying for payday, so hopefully I'll find a manifold and gaz rear shocks ready for payday as well.
Within the next month it should be low and a bit louder.
Also gonna respray my pro race 1.2s gloss black as well, so I'm gonna do that bit by bit over the next month or so as well.
I got a quote yesterday from a local bodyshop which was reasonable, for the bonnet and wing to be sprayed and the rear bumper to be repaired and resprayed. Oh also to have aero catches cut into the bonnet.
Things should start coming together over the next 2/3 months. Can't wait.

So then.
Today is payday, I have paid for a supersprint system with centre silencer to pass track sound testing and also bought Jigs 4-2-1 heatwrapped raceland manifold, I don't know yet wether or not I'll leave the heat wrap on or not.
I've also got money to one side for some gaz rear shocks but I'm keeping an eye out for some second hand ones to pop up within the next week or so before I buy new.
Car is also booked in for 16th February for the panels to be resprayed, all I need to do now is to order my aerocatches.
The car did how ever let me down last weekend and my alternator went on me, so I am picking a new one up Sunday.

106 GTi progress thread
Recieved my supersprint exhaust system yesterday, along with powerflex mount.
Hopefully will receive my 4-2-1 and genuine aerocatches soon, fingers crossed I'll order gaz rears on weekend too.
Also I'm considering getting my front bumper resprayed at the same as the rest...

So then, keeping this upto date more for myself, so that I can see where the car will have come from.
Fitted my supersprint manifold back system with silencer, it's pretty quiet.
I received my 4-2-1 and it was cracked, but been repaired and this will be fitted on the coming weekend along with rear gearbox powerflex black series mount.
My aero catches arrived and I also ordered my gaz rear shocks which have arrived.
Anyways, previous weekend I decided to try and lower the rear, im the offset washer was seized in place on the one side, no problem I thought, I'll make a start on other side and let this soak in WD40.
The bolt had rounded on the other side and couldn't get it off for love nor money, but also realised there was some play in the axle.
So a few phone calls later I'm travelling 120miles down to Dorset on Friday morning to pick up a full reconditioned axle and will fit that sunday and also lower it, to go with this ive ordered some floflex rear axle polybushes, money is tight and I couldn't justify £80 for the powerflex black edition ones when these were £37 delivered.
So fingers crossed this weekend I will get the axle on and fitted along with rear gaz gha adjustable shocks.
Get my raceland 4-2-1 on
Fit my powerflex rear gearbox mount
Fit my front gaz gha coilovers
And fit my 266mm brakes which were on my saxo
Then on Monday it's going away for a few days to get the rear bumper, bonnet and passenger wing sprayed, I'm tempted to get the front bumper done too whilst I'm at it.
But apparently I'm getting a nice little bonus from work on payday, and I have been tempted by a set of catcam 743s for a very decent price. And the cambelt needs doing so 2 birds with one stone?
Anyways I would like opinions on how low to run the car?
I'm liked 50mm on my saxo, but I believe when I get semi slicks and being a 50 profile tyre it will rub at this height?
If you've read this far, thank you very much lol
Oh yeah...
My new toy is a lifesaver.

I'll probably be running them unmapped as depending on how things go I'd like to get the car on itbs before the years out, so would just leave it until then to get mapped.

If you are doing itb's, get the ecu and map that for the cams then map it again when you rebuild it
I got 139hp with simota intake, 4-2-1 manifold and powerflow 2" decat, after getting it mspped i got 158hp.
The engine also runs alot better, feels much more harmonic and less restricted
