Hi mate,

That orion sub would be an absoloute animal in a good box! Im telling you, it would probably have the power to smash your windscreen in, or blow out your sunfroof!

I would power it from the hifonics amp, due to it being £100 cheaper and 400rms more than the orion, even though the orion is more efficient and better built, i couldnt justify spending the extra £100 on it.

There is currently a guy on www.talkaudio.com selling an RE xxx 15! Its brand new, and he wants £250. This would quite literally piss on the hcca, and it will also be more listenable too! Another guy on there is selling an RE MX 15, which is also a high end SPL sub, and he wants £150! Either of them will run fine of 2-2.5 kw rms, and both will give you an unruly amount of bass!

With regards to alternator, it would be worth uprating it, as the standard is only about 60-70amps iirc, but it might not be totally necessary, as long as you have a good main battery (yellow/red top), 0 gauge cabling, and a second battery in the boot.

If it was my choice i would go for the RE xxx 15! These really are the ultimate when it comes to SPL!

You are willing to give up your whole boot though arent you?? Cus you're gonna need atleast 4cuft i'd say!

I would have to agree with Coonper the RE xxx 15 is the nutz when it comes to SPL. Also don't rule out the Image Dynamics iDMax12 D4 v3. Also Rockford Fosgate amps are going pretty cheap on eBay.com if you want to get one imported.

hello guys ive just brought a 15 inch hcca orion subwoofer dual 2ohms and the orion d5000 (2500rms) amp all for 500. im liking the price of that. at least its all matching

and yes not taking my seats out but will get a box built to clear out all the boot space/ ported and tuned to 32hz.

it is going to be powered to the full 2500 rms and 1ohms. oviously have to wear it in lol.

are those orion door speakers enought for the treble? just the 2 i mean. and will it fit in the door speaker part. and would any cheap amp do? even a low powered loudest amp. as its only for them to little speakers. but are they loud?

will rep you soon mate lol.so dont woory!

ps havent got a sunroof

Those comps will be easily loud enough mate! but you do know you will need to make up some pods for them!

And NO! A loudest amp will not power them correctly at all! you will end up clipping the hell out of them and blowing them. Best off to buy a 2 channel amp which will put out about 100-120rms per channel. They will go extremely loud then! More than your ears will take!

Saxo's take a 5.25" speaker in the front so pods will be needed as mentioned before.

Well you want some 5.25" comps. Go on ebay and look for the JBL 507C comps. These go loud if you feed them enough power! I used to have them, so i know!

Power them from this...

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/audi...2141f1be48bdef

Granted its not the best amp out there, but for £60 you ent gonna get anything more powerfull!! 2x100rms is not to be laughed at!

If you don't like the FLI amp then the 2 underneath will do the job on the JBL's if thats what your getting.

Thats cheap for the JBL comps. I only suggested the Pioneer considering he was looking at the HCCA comps for £99.

They will take 100rms all day! I had 120rms into each one and theyre still going strong now! They are also very clear at high volumes, and you would have to step out the car before they distorted or it just simply hurts too much!

They are a straight swap for the standards, other than the tweeter obviously!

WIth the wiring, just run your own cable from the amp to the doors. They are simple to connect up mate! The crossover literally tells you where to put what!

And no, you dont bridge the amp and run the from one channel as they would be in mono, and the amp probably would take the resistance. One speaker per channel ftw!
