Right,
I'm planning a boot build for my vtr.

Im going to stip the back, and put some mdf as a 'flooring',
Im then going to cover that with some black suede material, putting some like padding between the mdf and suede.
then, im going to put my amps on the mdf, and put some 'raisers' around the mdf, and put a perspex housing around. basically a roof, above the amps.
Then, Im going to cut some holes out the perspex, and put some subs in, along with other things Im not too sure about yet.

Im thinking of making it illuminate red, but don't really know how i'd do this.

Does anyone have any pics of similar projects/boot builds?

I also want advice on how to minimise vibrations, as I dont want it to sound like a tin can..

So any advice/help is most appreciated.

Thanks peepz.

P.S. putting up a progress thead later, so you can all see my car, and then you might be able to pick up on it more.

fill holes with loft insulation (the fibreglass foamy stuff) make sure you pack it really tightly

then cover it all with sound deadening

you wont get good results off a cheap product

good stuff cost big money in audio
