Default Amp power cable on my gti

Right, I'm stuck with trying to pass the amp power cable through from the engine bay into the car. (gti)
I've done plenty of 1.1's and I use the bung underneath what I think is the brake servo, which you can get your hand underneath.
But on my gti, there's something else in the way (I've circled it in red below) and I just can't see how anyone could get their arm anywhere near the bung unless you have arms like Mr. Tickle.
Obviously I've removed the battery and air box etc but there's no way I can get to it.
Anyone got any ideas? or somewhere that may be a bit easier to feed it through?

Cheers!

Ive got my vts amp wire through somewhere like that.

What youve circled there is the ABS piping and servo i believe? which isnt there on a 1.1

I'll have a look where mine is later on and try and get a pic or describe it mate.

Cheers, yeh that's what I've circled!

To be honest I might just remove the glove box today and try going from the inside out, only thing is the fuse holder is going to be behind the glove box if I do that. And there might not be enough cable to go from the fuse holder to the battery if you get me?

I don't exactly have fat hands or arms (they're like noodles) and I really can't reach that bung from the engine side!

Yeah i get you, my fuse box is in the engine bay as on the sax i have an airbag. Im sure i wired mine through a bung to the left hand side of the brake cylinder, as my fuse is cable tied to the ring that hangs down to the left of it. (Just above the air filter/throttle body joint)

I still can't see it. Ive got the glove box off now but its impossible trying to feed it through the bung from the inside. And my hands are cut to shreds lol.
If you could post a picture it would be great! I just can't see it from the engine bay side!

You could always have gotten at the bung from under the car if you have long arms

If you have the fuse inside the car you are in dangerous territory...

Say the power cable somehow manages to short on the bulk head and pops the fuse. The power lead is still live up to the fuse which is now still live inside the car. If in the unlikely circumstance that it has shorted on the bulk head, it will still be live and it will spark and could lead to a fire. Considering that the fuel lines run just above where you are it could get bad quickly.

The above is a very unlikely situation but so was the titanic hitting an iceberg.

Feed a wire coat hanger through from the inside to out, gaffa tape the power cable to the coat hanger and pull it back through properly.

I did think that, but its too wet and cold to be crawling underneath!

Did not think of that...I've done it now anyway and I really can't face faffing about with it anymore today.
I does sound very unlikely, but if it does burn down you can say you told me so!

This is the end result:

I know its abit late but ive seen people drill throught the fire wall in the empty space on the top right hand side of your pic. I dont know if its safe or not or if anyone has tried it?

I'm sure you could if you're confident you won't drill through anything on the other side, but I'd rather stick to a hole that's already there so I don't mess things up!

I used a metal coat hanger bent straight with the power cord taped on
