Default 2004 Saab 9-3 Turbo

Morning!

After years of driving Mk2 Golfs, old BMWs and then crappy little Corsas, I decided it was time for a grown up car. I looked at the usual Passats, A4s etc but they command a fair price. In fact, anything German commands a fair price for not a lot to be fair.

And then I stumbled upon this. It's a 2004 Saab 9-3. It's a 2.0 turbo (petrol) with 210bhp so it shifts well. It's also equipped with auto headlights, auto wipers, climate control, cruise control, half leather electric memory seats and parking sensors. It's done 150k but has a complete service history so i'm not overly worried about mileage. It also came with a full MOT. And how much did I pay? £975! Yes, £975!

It needs the mirrors re-blacking and a bonnet badge but other than that, it's in really really good shape!

Not a bad car, I looked into getting one a while ago but was put off when I found out it's just a Vectra underneath.

I was too. That was until I read that only the floor, suspension and engine is Vauxhall. Everything else is Saab. The build quality is definitely Saab!

I've added a crappy photo above. It's stupidly bright outside so getting a decent photo is hard. Black leather with white/cream perforated centres. All the dash/door cards are black too

they map well, check about the pcv valves/breathers, the early ones caused issues and there were retrofit parts to solve the sludge.

they love leaking oil and failing coils

Fair play Jay, didn't realise it was under £1K.
Don't mess with it and enjoy the comfort.

I'm currently in a 2007 A4 S line, was cheap but already proving to be a little shit!
