Don't know if Ross can answer this?
I'm taking the car into VW asap as the arch gap on the passenger's side (front and rear) is 6mm higher than the other side.
All looks well. Springs look fine as do dampers.
Yes I've got a full tank, yes the ground is level and yes the tyres are at correct pressures.

Track evening booked for Snetterton on the 22nd of this month.
Let's hope I don't have anyone go into me!

So that was an interesting evening....don't think I have pulled over and let that many people past me before!
Bit of a mixed evening. Some positives such as the power and handling but my driving was absolutely shocking, terrible in fact.
This was mainly down to the brakes as I had no confidence in them at all, they felt spongey with next to no feel every time I asked them to do their job. In the heavy braking zones I overshot the corners most times! I made this worse by trying out heel and toe for the first time on track which wasn't a great idea.
The tyres wern't ideal also, they have suffered quite badly (standard Bridgestone potenzas) so yeah a bit of a mixed bag.
Will definately get some tuition so I can learn to calm down a bit and get my lines sorted (some corners I did great but most were shocking) I think I did fairly well in the Clio in the wet purely because I was going a lot slower and I think i got carried away at times.
Still though it was the first decent drive in this car so it was a learning experience.
Ideally I would like pads, fluid, lines, wheels, tyres and a bucket seat but we shall see how we go...

https://youtu.be/7UwUDiqC7HEI appear here near the beginning after the clio overtake.
Don't seem to be going too bad to be honest. Those were my very first laps in the car trying out the heel and toe. I'm slow as heck through Corham as I wrongly thought the esc was activating but I was just not used to the car and it wasn't

It's a nice looking car mate won't be long till your bored of it though, I just sold my mk5 gti for a 206 1.9 non turbo diesel £200 shitter and it's better in every way minus straight line speed.

I like it but it's a bit unfit for purpose as I wanted a nice road car (which it is) that could also easily do trackdays (which in standard form it cant)

What stops you changing the fluid and pads for better stuff? easy enough to swap back if you have a warranty issue

Are you allowed to take your car on a track under your HP scheme? I’m pretty sure it was a big no when I had my Cupra many years back.

Oh right. I’ve not watched the YouTube videos (I’m just on my dinner at work). Did you not drive the Polo round the track then?

I drove a Polo Gti round the track yes I'm not going to say if it was my one or not just in case lol
Video will be up soon but it's not very good as it's only my first two laps (I fucked up and clicked camera instead of video so lost all the others) in the dry at Snetterton and in a new 18k car lol

Someone has recommended me some federal for £66 each (215/45/17) which is very good. Currently looking at pads but it's a fairly new car so there's not much out there that I can see.

Bit embarassing but here's the only footage I have...
https://youtu.be/wdX2qIFm03U
By the end of the day the first corner was braking at the white line and entry in at 90 mph (this had a little oversteer at that speed)
In the video I'm probably not even entering at 80.
So jobs for next time....
Tuition
Brakes
Tyres
FUN!

Not sure. I think these brakes are larger than the ones on the previous 1.4 twin charged Polo
