drive shaft oil seals ? :(
got a leak coming from the nearside drive shaft seal
will the whole drive shaft need 2 come out and is it easy 2 put new seal in ??
and wen the drive shaft is out will the oil p*ss out ?
been on ebay and theres loads 2 choose from which one is right ?
tried searching 4 this but wasny enought info back :/

Easy job, just drain the box of fluid, remove the driveshaft, replace the seal, replace the shaft.fill the box back up

so is 2 litres of gear box oil ? and what grade of oil ??
and its jst an easy on and off job hope it is as easy as it sounds
and what u mean replace shaft ? as in put back on lol
?

Also, yeah you'll need to slide the shaft all the way out, so that's a jack up, wheel off, hub nut undone, wishbone popped, shaft out job at the minimum.
Fairly simple tbh, and the seals shoukdn't be that expensive from Citroen.

And am a best geting the seals from citroen ?

the seals from citroen cost about £15 irrc. wen i did mine i found the drop links to be a bit of a bitch

I had to grind my droplinks off. The hex insert had rounded off.

£14 for seal from citroen, couldnt find them at motor factors.

Cost me £70!!!! As it was the day before trax they went. when fittings bushes. Citroen was the only place that had them in stock

no kneed to drain the gearbox, just tilt the car up on stands or the jack.

easy to do. Better safe than sorry and have gearbox oil staining your drive
