No one can tell you if it will solve the issue we can only give advise. To me if your mount keeps going every couple of months there is something wrong elsewhere.

Could it be my rear axel ? Garage also said that had large play in it and I should get a new rear axle fitted but purchase one online ?

One is a single unit and the other is the full kit and bottom arm bushes too.
