The furio looks really really nice mate. What paint did you use on the engine block, as it seems to be a really strong colour?

We used some red Halfords engine enamel - it come out really well! The engine looked pretty much new before it went in.

Thanls for that mate. Will be getting myself some of that I think then. Was going to use Hammarite, but that can look a little orange sometimes

Yeh the red enamel looks really strong and bright, don't know how it'll age though with heat, should be fine!
I wish I'd have done my engine a colour as opposed to black as sporting leaks is a pain!

Yeh I have a Jenvey stepped backplate - looking at the filter might be able to squeeze 90mm trumpets in there, what's the minimum clearance between end of trumpet and the inside of the filter?

has the filter got a mesh re-enforcement? if so you can run it as close as you like without it touching. if its not got one then id say try and leave a good inch between or it "could" suck the filter into the trumpet.

It's got mesh inside - so I can run the trumpets fairly close then?
Is good if I can as can go for some 90mm trumpets in the future just to add another 30mm to the inlet length

I'm going to get it mapped on the 60mm trumpets, and then just keep my eye open for a set of 45x90mm trumpets - will get Andy to fit them then the Predator's map can be tweaked to suit for free.

I'll get a few pictures and videos when it's all mapped up and going, just have to find some tunnels to fully enjoy the noise!

MEGA UPDATE !!!!!!
Got the Piper BP285 and new followers in:
They ran very well on the standard inlet, and felt like there was more to give at the top end, plus it is noticably a different profile of power curve to standard - was interesting to feel it.
Then had to get down to it and cut out the scuttle to fit in the stepped backplate and the filter - as can be seen below there is no room at all the get the filter out - had to ram it in to just see how much more I had to remove:
This is the last picture I have got of them, everything is connected up now, but you get the idea from the picture the amount of room free'd up by cutting the scuttle:
Alos have fitted the front powerflex wishbone bushes, and ordered the GMC 40mm springs to go with the Bilstein group N shocks I have waiting to go on. Have also fitted new track rod ends, and have new strut top bearing ready to go on when the springs arrive.
Planning on getting the S2 gearbox on in a few weekends time so can get it all mapped up and see how it goes!
Will get some better pictures up and video's of the TB's when it's all safe to give it a good thrashing.
