Mine was mapped without the socks, they were fitted to it when ian built it and dave walker threw them in the bin before mapping saying they were not needed. I fitted a second pair before ian told me this, ran the car for about 30seconds before taking them off and throwing them somewhere again lol

plus is on a shit gearbox iirc

No offence taken, remember it's got a full interior, sub in the boot and a slightly overweight driver
I didn't give itvreal stick in the video, and didn't show the dials and the road in the video for obvious reasons ........ cos they are a boring view
Having put the Tbs on, the gearbox is just too long, it takes ages in 3rd to get upto high revs - the S2 should be a lot better, plus have to sort the rev limit out on it and then can get a few dyno runs to see what it's putting out/shape of the curve.

Sorry havn't answered the above, been stupidly busy with work and not really had much time to work on the car! Will have an update in a week or so. Have got the Group n's on, ordered some discs for my hi spec's, and hopefully have the superleggera's on too!!!

It costs enough! Bought all the expensive things in group buys (so around 20%-30%) off and then other bits I'e bought brand new from people on here cheaper. The car does owe me a lot of £££ but then it has given me a large amount of enjoyment so is worth it!
I'm planning on getting the S2 box on next week as put it on once but didn't have a vt* driveshaft so my 1.4 shaft wouldn't go in anough and leaked gearbox fluid out.

No, not had it on the rollers. I'm saving up at the moment so that I can get the ignition map sorted on the rollers with the timing tweaked to get the best out of it!
Have done around 3k on them so far and love them a lot!!

Indeed, I think I'm going to go down the stripping route to get rid of some weight to try and improve things. Once I've had it on the rollers and the ignition map sorted I'll up the rev limit. Also need to get the engine loom out to tidy it up as it's a mess at the moment!!
